OUR STORY

What follows is my story, why I opened the Slim Fit Weight Loss Studio and why I want to help overweight people change their lives for the better.


At age 34, I weighed 300 pounds. I had a bad heart, a very bad case of Sleep Apnea, no self-respect and very little self-esteem. I honestly did not care what I put into my body.


In the summer of 2020 my doctor advised me that if I did not change my bad eating habits it was possible that I would not be around in my 40’s. That was a huge wake up call for me and I decided that it was time for a change. So my journey began.


I tried several different weight loss programs and felt like I was being starved or that all the program offered was expensive pills, pre-packaged food and ongoing fees.


Then I discovered a program that didn't starve me, didn't make me feel deprived, wasn't complicated, was economical and it worked! The program taught me about the psychology of eating, how to make healthier choices, control my portions and develop an exercise program that suited me.


In 8 months I lost over 80 pounds. My heart and lung health improved, my sleep apnea was gone, and I felt amazing! I was so stoked over my own personal success that it motivated me to want to share this program with others who are struggling to get off the weight loss roller coaster.


To aid in my goal of becoming a professional weight loss coach, I went back to school and earned a degree in Fitness and Nutrition.


Then in March 2021 my vision for Slim Fit Weight Loss Studio became a reality. Working in conjunction with a professional, international program, Slim Fit offers clients the same tools that helped me succeed, along with my personal one-on-one coaching.


Through my experience and success in conquering weight loss, I understand what the barriers can be and how to overcome them and this helps me to assist others in reaching their goals. The Slim Fit program is healthy, easy to follow, economical and proven successful. 


My mission is to help change the face of obesity in my community. And my philosophy is that by learning how to eat healthy and exercise regularly we can lead by example and pass along these good habits to our children, preventing them from becoming overweight. And the added bonus? We will be around to watch them grow up.


Weight-loss does not have to be stressful, it can actually be fun and quite enjoyable. Here at Slim Fit we want clients to enjoy losing the unwanted weight, and as your coach it's my job to help make that happen.

How much weight should I lose

Every person is different. This program uses your specific height, age and current weight to determine what is your ideal target weight.

Will you help me if I am struggling

Of course. I am going to be with you every step of the way to motivate you whenever needed and ensure that you are on track. We are in this together until you reach your goal.

What if I haven't exercised in a while

We always recommend talking to your doctor first, but take it slow to begin with, and work your way up.

Do I need to weigh myself every day

NO you don’t need to weigh yourself every day.

Can I eat out while on the program

Of course you can still eat out. But remember that you are still on the program and need to follow the program guidelines for your daily intake.
